What Can You Spearfish in Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico offers an incredible variety of pelagic and reef species, making it a destination for freedivers and spearfishing enthusiasts.
Depending on seasonal conditions, fishing regulations, and availability, potential target species include:
- Wahoo
- Mahi-Mahi (Dolphinfish)
- African Pompano
- King Mackerel
- Hogfish
- Snapper

All harvesting is subject to applicable Puerto Rico fishing regulations, species restrictions, and size and possession limits. Fish encounters and catches are never guaranteed.
