LEVEL 1 FREEDIVE +INTRO TO SPEARISHING™ COURSE $445
The Level 1 Freedive + Intro to Spearfishing™ course is a two-day course that includes both the Level 1 Freedive Course and the Intro to Spearfishing™ Course. The Level 1 Freedive Course is PADI credited and is tailored and focused on training divers to spearfish as well as line-dive. The course curriculum was written by Ryan Rush and copywritten by SAVAGE DIVING. The course contains four phases, including knowledge development, a confined water session, open water sessions, and an introduction to spearfishing. During knowledge development, students learn about how their body reacts to breath-holding and how water pressure affects them as they dive. They also learn about freediving and spearfishing equipment, important safety/rescue techniques, and buddy procedures. The course has a student-to-teacher ratio of 4:1, ensuring more time per student/instructor and more time in the water developing valuable skills. The focus of the curriculum is on safety and performance-driven, touching on all aspects of spearfishing and freediving.
LEVEL 2 FREEDIVE +SPEARFISHING FUNDAMENTALS™ COURSE $695
The Level 2 + Spearfishing Fundamentals™ Course is a three-day course that includes both the Level 2 Freedive Course and the Spearfishing Fundamentals™ Course. The Level 2 Freedive Course is PADI credited and is designed to fulfill the personal need to refine and improve freediving skills, allowing students to progress slowly while learning how their body performs during apnea. The course curriculum was written by Ryan Rush and copywritten by SAVAGE DIVING. The course consists of four main phases, including knowledge development about advanced spearfishing and freediving techniques and equipment, a confined water session to learn stretching and relaxation techniques as well as refine static/dynamic apnea, open water sessions to practice deeper free immersion and constant weight freedives, and additional buddy procedures and rescue techniques. The Spearfishing Fundamentals Course teaches students how to spearfish using the most efficient and safe freediving practices, whether they are a complete noob or seasoned spearfisher with years of experience. The course sets students on the right path to improve their breath hold, get comfortable at depth, eliminate bad habits while acquiring new hunting/rigging techniques.
LEVEL 3 FREEDIVE +BLUEWATER SPEARFISHING™ COURSE $1250
The Level 3 + Bluewater Spearfishing™ Course is a four-day course that includes both the Level 3 Freedive Course and the Blue Water Hunting™ Course. The Level 3 Freedive Course is PADI credited and is designed to fulfill the personal need to refine and improve freediving skills, allowing students to progress slowly while learning how their body performs during apnea. The course curriculum was written by Ryan Rush and copywritten by SAVAGE DIVING. During the course, students will master skills such as FRC diving, variable diving, dieting, mental preparation and visualization, blue water hunting techniques, ocean trauma, EFR Course, and more. This freediving course will provide students with all the tools needed to reach new depths and catch trophy fish.
The PADI Master Freediver course consists of three main phases. The first phase is knowledge development about nutrition, relaxation, and advanced breathing techniques, which students will study independently using the PADI Freediver eLearning. They will also complete independent research as part of the Master Freediver Assignment. The second phase is a confined water session to improve static and dynamic apnea attempts, including a no fins dynamic apnea. The goal of this phase is a static apnea of 3 minutes and 30 seconds and a dynamic apnea of 70 meters/230 feet. The third phase is open water sessions to practice mouthfill equalization and perform warm-up and workup dives for free immersion and
PADI FREEDIVER INSTRUCTOR COURSE $1800
If you’re an avid freediver, you likely spend a lot of time thinking about freediving, talking about freediving and sharing the details your latest freediving adventures. Becoming a PADI Freediver Instructor with Ryan Rush & lets you take your passion for freediving to the next level and allows you to do what you enjoy as a profession. You must earn the PADI Freediver Instructor rating, but you gain a job that lets you share incredible underwater achievements with others – transforming their lives for the better while enriching yours.
To enroll in a PADI Freediver Instructor Training Course, you must be at least 18 years old, have a PADI Master Freediver certification (or have a qualifying certification), be a current Emergency First Response Instructor (or qualifying CPR/first aid instructor) and present a medical statement signed by a physician within 12 months.
